Title Screen
For the title screen, I want it to feature two key aspects of the game: the clouds of holy heaven, and the dark flames of evil hell. My goal is make the clouds flash and glow, and to have the flames flicker and move about while casting shadows on the wall. Finally, I was hoping to have an image of Angel flap past on the screen, or maybe have him appear fluttering in place.

Influences
Castle Crashers features a similar Game HUD to my idea, as I want my game to be a 2-D plat former with some extra features.
Binding of Isaac features a "cute" art style, but very morbid and dark themes.
Logo and Chastity
First Picture: Possible Logo for Infernal. Features Heaven, Hell, and the Angel trapped in between.
Enemies and monsters based on Chastity, the first level. Note the many flowers and garden enemies- the Chastity level resembles a large garden complete with ponds, flowers, and lighthearted scenery. Enemies include flowers, salamanders, and bees. The boss is Violet, who seems like the innocent flower, but has a terrible temper.
How far would you go to save a friend?
Infernal is going to be a game about choices and morality. Don't let the cute atmosphere and innocent looking characters fool you, this is going to be a dark, twisted game with many tricks and turns.
You play the Angel, who is just another angel in Heaven, who is forced to give up his rights as an angel to save his friend, Cherub, who managed to get stolen in an attack from Hell. By giving up his angel rights, he becomes an outcast. You control Angel in a long descent from Heaven, through the rings of Hell, to confront Satan and take your friend back.
But there is no guarantee that everything will go alright. Hell is a dangerous place, and many enemies may attempt to corrupt you or confuse you along the way. While you may have started out pure, there is no guarantee you'll end that way. Each level contains choices that the player makes, which will determine where you will turn good, evil, or something completely different. Along the way, the player will get a look into the Angel's mysterious past.
The three areas I would like to focus on are:
-Character Design (Personality, Appearance, Backstory, Abilities)
-Level Design (Which are based on the Holy Virtues and the Nine Rings of Hell from Dante's Inferno)
-Enemies (Which are different depending on what Virtue and Rings of Hell)
